Justice at Wings is a coalition of faith, labor, civil and human rights organizations and individuals fighting to protect the labor rights of iron workers at Wings Enterprises, Inc. At the forefront of the Coalition are workers who have been on strike from Wings since October 2009, protesting Wings’ history of safety problems, including violations of OSHA regulations and a lack of drinking water; low wages on private projects; violations of laws that mandate good wages on public projects; retaliation against workers who want to improve conditions; and a lack of affordable family health insurance, pay increases, vacation, and retirement benefits.
The workers at Wings want to have their labor rights protected and have the assurance of a healthy and safe environment.
The abuses get to a boiling-point that shakes you, making you realize that enough is enough”

I had been working for Wings for 3 ½ years; I remember being excited when I got the job. I would have never thought that the situation there could be this bad…Not providing drinking water to workers shows you the lack of respect Wings has towards working people. I gave it my all every time I had to lift up heavy equipment or simply do my job. I would have at least expected to have a company, particularly one that gets to work on government contracts, to…respect labor laws.”

This is not just about my rights as worker to get fair pay, safety trainings, benefits and stability. This is about protecting our community from employers that violate fundamental rights.”
